Somarna’s Tips - Breathing


* Mechanically bend forward - press out air. Then lift arms up and out on the in breath

* Pursed lips blow out against resistance - all air out

* Kissing lips fast & loud

* Kiss, then exhale on loud AAHH (Stretch all facial muscles)

* Count aloud with 1 breath out to max # (speak loud)

* Count with no air in lungs as long as possible

* Sing! Vocal exercises! Hum!

* Use a Spirometer
